Meeting Format
Our meetings follow the traditional format for toastmasters meetings. In the first half of the meetings we have the prepared speeches. Normally we have up to 4 speakers. In the second half of the meeting we have Table Topics followed by Speech Evaluations led by the General Evaluator.
Our Evaluations
As an advanced toastmaster club, Power Talk prides itself on providing forensic speech evaluations. We look to find the subtle tweaks and changes to help experienced toastmasters to improve and develop.
Workshopping a Speech
Sometimes we use a workshop format to give feedback on a speech. The chief evaluator will lead and facilitate the discussion drawing input from all the members at the meeting in order to give a deeper evaluation and feedback to the speaker.
Video Recordings
They say that seeing is believing. That’s why we take video recordings of the speeches and evaluations at our meetings so that members can do their own video analysis afterwards.
